Grand Regulateur

The French watchmaker Berthoud developed a pocket watch with a Regulateur dial in the 18th century.

The Jacques Etoile Regulateur was one of our watch models in 1996.

This watch with a 13’’’ historical Unitas caliber became an effective success. This series was limited to  300 pieces and was immediately sold out.

In spring 2007  the Jacques Etoile Grand Regulateur is available  on the market. The Jacques Etoile watchmakers have realized a Regulateur indicator based on the 16 ½’’’ Unitas caliber 6498.

The hour indicator is decentralized by a gear.
The central minute hand dominates in this way. The hour hand and the second hand turn   their courses  in separate dials’ sectors. The advantage is that the hands  are overlapping themselves only at 6 and at 12.

The time always is perfect legible.

Reserve de Marche

The earth’s satellite is 300.000 km away from us. Since the dawn of civilization the moon has fascinated the humanity.

The tides, the date of  Easter and very often the mood of people  is directly related to the cycle of the moon.

The newest creation of Jacques Etoile is devoted to this subject.

The “Reserve de Marche” will be driven on a 16 ½’’’  Unitas movement  modified by Jacques Etoile watchmakers. In addition to the display of the moon cycle the power reserve is featured .
